What Agencies have to participate in UHMIS?
All McKinney-Vento HUD programs as well as CDBG and HOME programs providing street outreach, emergency shelter, transitional housing, permanent supportive housing, and homeless prevention have to participate in UHMIS. Most agencies participating in the Continuum of Care process are required to participate in UHMIS. In addition, programs and agencies receiving State Homeless Trust Funds (PAHTF, ESG, and CNH) are required to participate in order to be competitive for future funding.
Do Domestic Violence Agencies have to participate?
Domestic Violence agencies' participation is not mandatory at this time. However, DV service providers who wish to participate may do so by contacting the UHMIS Project Team (hmisadmin@uhmis.org).
